Psalm 119:105 GNT Your word is a lamp to guide me and a light for my path.
In our world today, there are so many conflicting voices. There are voices from the media, voices from books, voices from pulpits, voices from politicians, voices from doctors, trainers, teachers–the list goes on.
Each one of these voices claims to be the voice you should listen to. Each one will tell you they know what is best for you. With the technology we have today, these voices literally have access to our minds twenty-four hours a day. In fact, in our quest for knowledge, it’s my argument that we are more confused about which way to go than ever before.
How can you know who to listen to?
How is it possible to know who is being truthful, who has pure intentions, and who really has your best interest in mind?
There is only one way. God’s Word.
You must feed your mind a steady diet of The Word. Read the Bible daily. Pray. When you pray, listen. Prayer is not just a time to ask for everything you need. It is also a time to sit, be quiet, and listen to what the Lord has to say to you.
He is the ONE and the ONLY voice you should listen to. Weigh all other words against His. He will guide you and direct. He is the voice you can trust.
